We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Science & Governance Specialist to join the dynamic team at a leading bank. This role is critical in driving the Bank’s data-driven transformation by implementing innovative data solutions and strategies that deliver measurable business value. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data management, banking operations, and project management, coupled with the ability to provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.

Serve as a key member of the Data Science & Governance Department, contributing to the Bank’s data-driven initiatives.
Collaborate with the Section Head to design and implement Bank-wide end-to-end data solutions and strategies that align with organizational goals and generate measurable benefits.
Lead and manage data-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
Identify and leverage business opportunities by providing data-driven insights to support growth strategies and management decisions.
Ensure adherence to industry-leading data management practices and compliance with local regulatory requirements.
Develop and monitor data strategies, including the execution of large-scale projects, to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making capabilities.
Stay abreast of emerging trends in data management, AI modeling, and financial technologies to drive innovation within the Bank.

skills & experiences required.

Education: University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Experience:
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in data management, preferably within the financial services or Fintech industries.
- Proven track record in banking and finance, with a strong understanding of business and operational models.
- Experience in establishing and monitoring data strategies and managing large-scale projects is highly desirable.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of industry-leading data management practices and tools.
- Proficiency in data analysis, strategic design, and implementation.
- Knowledge of retail banking OR data & AI modeling is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Result-oriented with the ability to deliver high-quality outcomes under pressure.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
Language Proficiency: Fluent in both spoken and written English and Chinese.
