Work closely with development and operations teams to ensure the integrity, availability, and performance of databases, which are critical to the trading platforms and financial services.
Monitor database health, implement and optimize backup strategies to ensure data security and integrity.
Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and other techniques.
Ensure data security and integrity by implementing robust backup, recovery, and access control mechanisms.
Collaborate with development teams to design efficient database schemas and queries
Participate in the planning and execution of database migrations, upgrades, and patches.
Develop and maintain documentation related to database design, configuration, and procedures.
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.
Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and best practices, and recommend improvements to existing systems.

skills & experiences required.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in database engineering or administration.
Proficiency in mySQL database architecture, common high availability architecture
Experience with MongoDB databases replicatset cluster architecture and working principle.
Strong understanding of database performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.Familiar with MySQL and MongoDB backup and restoration, skilled in using Percona tool to backup and restore data
Experience with database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
Experience with database automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Shell).
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
Good communication and interpersonal skills
