Our client is a reputable non-profit organization that has been a cornerstone of society development in Hong Kong providing a wide variety of welfare and social services. With a strong commitment to contribute towards a greener future for all, they are now looking for an Environmental consultant to join their environmental and sustainability team.

About the Job

As a key team member, you will support sustainability initiatives by developing and implementing circular business models from concept to integration. You will collaborate with various departments to create policies for closed-loop material management and execute sustainability roadmaps while promoting the adoption of sustainable materials. Additionally, you will develop training materials to optimize end-of-life services and products, analyze and report on circular metrics and recycling technologies, and monitor practices for reuse, reduction, and recycling. Supporting data verification for industry reporting standards (CDP, GRI, TCFD) and fostering a diverse and inclusive culture through cross-team collaboration will also be essential to your role. This position is vital for advancing the organization's circularity goals and promoting sustainability.

About the Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or other related discipline
• 2 -3 years of experience in the field of environmental sustainability, preferably with experience in sustainable finance and waste management
• Good understanding of how to develop appropriate and functional policy, guidelines, procedures, and business cases.
• Proficient in working with data systems to assess and monitor waste and material use trends to identify opportunities for improvements and reductions.
• Analyse information and data in a manner that highlights key issues and root causes.
• Have had exposure to Materials and Waste Management, and Circular economy processes.
• Capabilities to educate and guide the business and employees.
• Good working knowledge of Hong Kong and China government waste regulations.
• High proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese, fluency in Mandarin is a plus
