About the Company
Our client is a newly established life insurance arm of one of the largest financial institutions in China. As they build their presence in Hong Kong, they are seeking a Head of Distribution (Agency) to lead and drive the agency channel. This role requires an experienced leader who can develop and grow the agency force, ensure regulatory compliance, and serve as the Key Person in Charge (KPIC) for the agency channel.

- Agency Channel Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and execute a comprehensive agency distribution strategy to drive business growth.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of agency leaders and financial advisors.
- Build a high-performance agency network with a strong culture of professionalism and productivity.
- Establish incentive programs, sales campaigns, and engagement initiatives to enhance agency retention and performance.
- Regulatory Compliance & KPIC Responsibility
- Act as the Key Person in Charge (KPIC) for the agency distribution channel, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met.
- Maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with local laws and industry best practices.
- Implement risk management frameworks to safeguard the integrity of the agency distribution model.
- Market Expansion & Business Growth
- Develop strategies to expand market reach and strengthen the company's positioning in the life insurance industry.
- Identify new opportunities to grow the agency force, including partnerships, recruitment pipelines, and regional expansion.
- Drive product penetration and cross-selling strategies within the agency network.
- Operational & Performance Management
- Lead the agency distribution team, ensuring alignment with company objectives and growth targets.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement initiatives to improve sales performance and productivity.
- Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on agency business performance and strategic initiatives.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
- Work closely with internal teams (e.g., product, marketing, compliance) to support agency distribution efforts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with agency leaders, partners, and key stakeholders.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative culture within the distribution network.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Insurance, Business Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in agency channel management within the life insurance industry.
- At least 2 years of experience in a department head or senior leadership role.
- Strong understanding of insurance regulations and compliance requirements in Hong Kong.
- Proven leadership skills in building and managing an agency force.
- Strategic mindset with strong business acumen and execution capabilities.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Fluency in Mandarin and Cantonese; English is preferred.
