Create and oversee a comprehensive IT security architecture framework, including security blueprints, reference architectures, governance models, design patterns, and security standards that align with business objectives and industry benchmarks.
Ensure that security principles and compliance are integrated early in all IT projects and systems. Offer guidance and support for project implementations and system designs.
Promote cybersecurity transformation initiatives. Serve as the Security Subject Matter Expert, advising stakeholders on security and technology matters at all levels.
Ensure that system security designs adhere to the established security architecture, design patterns, policies, and compliance requirements through review, advisory, and approval processes.
Conduct evaluations of various security and technology measures, identifying and validating areas for compliance, enhancements, and best practices within the enterprise.
Establish and maintain a technology stack for security solution offerings.
Research the evolving threat landscape, attack trends, and countermeasures. Provide recommendations and evaluate security tools to enhance defenses against emerging threats.

skills & experiences required.

A minimum of 7 years of experience in cybersecurity architecture, solution design, and implementation within an enterprise environment.
Proven ability to gain buy-in from and influence executives, effectively communicating strategic messages, with strong networking and communication skills.
In-depth understanding of data privacy, security principles, and knowledge of emerging technologies and associated security patterns.
Strong problem-solving capabilities, capable of analyzing issues and proposing solutions from both technical and managerial perspectives.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing, and presentation skills. Experience in client-facing roles or management consultancy is highly desirable.
Relevant security and architecture certifications such as CISSP, CISM, TOGAF, and SABSA are preferred.
