Our client is an established bank and they are currently hiring a seasoned data governance and management professional to join the team about the job.
- Design and implement forward-thinking Data Governance framework that meets international benchmarks and regulatory expectations, which includes policies, standards, and processes to elevate data quality, assigning clear roles such as Data Stewards, Owners, and Users to ensure accountability across the organization.
- Oversee critical aspects like data lineage, metadata management, and quality assurance, while embedding governance practices using tools like Collibra.
- Driving data utilization—teaming up with diverse business teams to apply analytics, solve operational hurdles, enhance efficiency, and identify growth avenues
- Ensure adherence to regulations like BCBS 239 by developing tailored frameworks, facilitate cross-functional dialogues to address governance needs or gaps, and champion the adoption of governance tools and methodologies.
- Design dashboards and metrics to track data accuracy and completeness, supporting governance initiative oversight, and collaborating regionally to boost data literacy and weave analytics into operational and strategic planning.
skills & experiences required.
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years in data-focused roles (e.g., Analytics, Governance, or Data Management).
- Hands-on expertise in establishing data governance within financial or banking environments.
- Solid grasp of banking regulations, particularly around reporting and standards like BCBS 239.
- Practical skills with governance platforms like Collibra and automation tools such as Alteryx.
- Awareness of data policy trends and applicable regulatory guidelines.
- Experience with analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and creating dynamic, insight-rich reports is highly valued.
- Good interpersonal skills and stakeholder management
