We're currently partnering with an Educational Institute in finding a newly created Director level grade for their Editorial Department focusing on the publication and editorial of academic contents for local and global audience on both online and offline platforms.
...

The individual will be taking lead of a core function of the Institute, leading the Editorial Department, collaborating directly with authors and further developing the capability and the productivity of the team.

End-to-end development and execution of strategies to drive the growth and awareness of the publication department and the Educational Institute body for both local and global audiences
Manage and showcase the Educational Institutes publication portfolio for local and global audience on both online and offline platforms
End-to-end publication process including distribution, publicity and production
Direct collaboration with internal stakeholders/authors (professors, scholars, experts etc.) to implement and execute new publications
Provide editorial inputs with authors to ensure high quality publications for global audience
Departmental budget management and ownership to ensure positive financial to drive growth
Manage team to ensure high productivity and motivated team members
Implement sales and marketing strategies to drive awareness of Institute's capability and to strengthen brand identity in HK, Mainland and globally.

skills & experiences required.

Degree holder, preferably in language, journalism, communication
Minimum 10 years experience of editorial experiences, preferably related in the education, academic and professional book publishing and/or editorial
Strong understanding of publication procedures
Strong language skills in English and Chinese
Leadership and team management skills
Relationship oriented, strong communication skills
Strong project management, commercial acumen and negotiation skills
Self-motivated, creative and positive
Strong language skills in English and Chinese
