Our client is an international main contractor in APAC. As their initiatives in Hong Kong grow, they are looking for aMEP Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Hong Kong.
About the job
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for MEP systems, ensuring accuracy based on project specifications, drawings, and industry standards.
- Assist in the preparation of tender documents, evaluate bids from subcontractors, and negotiate contract terms to achieve the best value for the company.
- Manage MEP contracts throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and effectively handling variations and claims.
- Conduct regular site visits to carry out measurements and assessments of MEP installations, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.
- Monitor and control costs related to MEP works, preparing financial reports and forecasts to support project budgeting.
What you'll ideally have
- Higher Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with main contractors is preferred.
- Familiarity with NEC contracts is an advantage.
- Proficient in English and Chinese; proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
