- Collaborate closely with relevant stakeholders from the Group, IMa, and local teams, particularly in Risk Management, Distribution, Customer Affairs, and Communications, regarding Conduct processes, reporting, and activities.
- Assist in reinforcing the Group Conduct Framework and Customer Protection initiatives across Asian entities, while providing guidance and sharing best practices to support their implementation.
- Monitor the Conduct framework, local Conduct dashboard, and other reports of Asian entities, reviewing action plans and sharing priorities, risks, and issues with the Group Conduct and IMa teams.
- Help prepare necessary materials for Group updates (through the Conduct Committee or other means), and coordinate the submission and review of relevant local reports and documentation.
- Support the Compliance teams in Asian entities with their Conduct awareness programs by developing materials and delivering training and educational initiatives.
- Actively participate in various Conduct Working Groups, providing input on Asia-specific requirements and practices. Occasionally present at IMa and entity forums (such as Asia CRO calls and local Compliance Weeks) to promote Conduct-related activities and awareness.
- Assist in planning compliance and Conduct technical reviews by preparing working papers and coordinating interviews with entities, ensuring timely follow-up on actions identified during reviews and updating the Group system accordingly.
- Coordinate the submission and review of local reports, providing meaningful feedback to local Compliance teams, the Asia General Counsel, and the Head of Compliance to ensure high-quality and timely submission of Group reports.
- Lead and coordinate Asia compliance activities within the team, including annual planning, training, management, committee reports, and other relevant Group and IMa reports.
- Develop compliance training and communication materials, including presentation materials, newsletters, and other internal communications, and deliver training and awareness campaigns to staff in Asia offices.
- Relay general Compliance matters, such as Group Compliance Standards and policies, Asia Compliance policies, and other Group reporting instructions and templates to local Compliance teams, offering advice and support as needed. Participate in ad hoc projects and initiatives.
- Stay updated on regulations across Asia and provide updates to Group Compliance and other stakeholders.
skills & experiences required.
- University graduate, preferably in Law, Commerce/Business, or Economics.
- 5-7 years of experience with a strong background in Conduct/Distribution Compliance, with a solid understanding of insurance products, compliance processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Eager to learn, a team player, and capable of working independently.
- Strong command of both spoken and written English; proficiency in other relevant Asian languages, particularly Cantonese and/or Mandarin, is an advantage.
