Perform routine laboratory operations, equipment maintenance and calibration
Plan and manage the laboratory operation including safety, clinical & bio-waste management, and routine maintenance of instruments to ensure efficient running of the laboratory.
Process and analyse clinical specimens by molecular testing methods following SOPs
Manage equipment and reagents acquisition processes and interacting with procurement and suppliers
Conduct QC, library preparation and operate next/third generation sequencing systems, laboratory equipment and analysers
Assist in implementing QC, documentation to meet accreditation standards
Assist in developing new protocols and evaluating new sequencing technologies
Participate in R&D activities

skills & experiences required.

Certificate MLT Part I and a valid Practising Certificate issued by the MLT Board is a must
Bachelor’s degree in biotechnology, biochemistry, biology or equivalent
Relevant work experience in oncology research projects is highly preferred
Preferably with working experience in short/long-read sequencing or molecular biology
Candidates with less experience will be considered as Associate Medical Technologist
