Role Overview:
This position will be responsible for evaluating and assessing risks associated with insurance applications, loans, or other financial products. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to make sound decisions based on data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Risk Assessment & Data analysis: Analyze insurance applications and assess the associated risks by examining financial data, applicant history, and relevant documentation to determine eligibility for coverage.
- Assess applicants' financial status, credit history, and other relevant factors to determine risk levels.
- Review and evaluate existing policies to decide on renewals, adjustments, or cancellations based on changes in risk or claims history.
- Make informed decisions regarding the approval or denial of applications.
- Collaborate with agents, brokers, and clients to gather necessary information and clarify details.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation to support underwriting decisions.
- Monitor and review existing policies and loans to identify potential risks or necessary adjustments.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in underwriting.
Key requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
