- Collaborate with the backend development team to develop backend services and APIs to support new features and enhancements for banking systems.
- Perform development, configuration, and maintenance of applications built on microservices architectures.
- Create technical specifications and participate in technical design using Java in a multi-threaded environment.
- Translate business requirements from the product team into technical solutions with a modern tech stack.
- Perform quality control and monitoring activities, such as integration, testing, and documentation preparation.
- Share knowledge and enthusiasm for software engineering techniques with the team.
skills & experiences required.
- Minimum of 6+ years’ hands-on experience in Java backend development, with sound knowledge of microservices and integration patterns, as well as a background in the banking, financial services, or fintech industry.
- Solid experience developing banking systems with knowledge of any relevant domain, such as payments, transactions, deposits, compliance, loans, etc.
- Strong proficiency in Java 8 or above, Spring Boot, Redis, RESTful API, and MS SQL/NoSQL.
- Previous experience in building CI/CD pipelines using Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, or Git is a plus.
- Proficiency in spoken and written Cantonese and English is a must.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to quickly adopt new technologies.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
