- Oversee trade execution, verification, and finalization processes.
- Track and address unsuccessful trade outcomes.
- Supervise escrow transactions.
- Identify challenges and proactively resolve them.
- Execute region-specific procedures to ensure smooth trade verification and settlement in complex international markets.
- Engage with trading teams, brokers, custodian banks, and other stakeholders to tackle operational issues.
- Contribute expertise to special projects.
- Support the creation and evaluation of team policies and guidelines.
- Work collaboratively to handle daily tasks efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Guide and train new team members.
- Partner with supervisors and team leads to enhance operational processes.
- Complete all tasks promptly and accurately.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with relevant business partners in writing and verbally.
skills & experiences required.
- Familiarity with custody operations, industry standards, and tools is highly desirable.
- Understanding of market settlement practices is advantageous.
- Knowledge of various financial products, including equities, bonds, options, warrants, derivatives, collateral, repos, and stock lending.
- Proficiency with platforms like OMGEO Alert, CTM, Bloomberg, and TradeSuite is preferred.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office applications, including Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Excellent time management capabilities.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and projects under tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills for data interpretation.
- Capable of identifying high-risk issues and escalating or seeking support to minimize potential losses.
- Able to devise effective strategies to address daily operational challenges.
Qualifications and Experience
- 1-3 years in financial services, ideally with involvement in custody operations or trade life cycle management.
- 1-2 years of experience in trade life cycle, settlements, or fails management.
