- Provide practical and thoughtful compliance guidance to the business across APAC, with a focus on algorithmic and electronic trading, along with other key advisory areas.
- Review and approve new business initiatives and trading strategies, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, best practices, and global standards.
- Proactively identify potential regulatory and compliance risks, developing strategies to address these risks in collaboration with key team members and business stakeholders.
- Work closely with regional compliance teams in APAC, the US, and EMEA to fulfill regulatory expectations, maintain global consistency, and deliver top-tier support to the business.
- Advise on relevant rules and regulations impacting the firm’s operations, ensuring appropriate implementation of policies and training for the Business and other functions.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including exchanges and regulators, in the markets served.
- Collaborate with regional compliance teams to create a framework for tracking regulatory developments and obligations.
skills & experiences required.
- 5-7 years of hands-on compliance advisory experience in equities, futures, and options with major investment banks or high-frequency trading firms.
- Previous experience with APAC regulators is a plus.
- Strong understanding of the regulatory framework across Asian markets is essential.
- A keen attention to detail and a commitment to excellence are prerequisites.
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines with consistent accuracy.
