Provide independent recommendations on new credit applications and respond to waiver requests.
Collaborate closely with business units to facilitate credit and lending activities.
Conduct thorough evaluations of new credit applications, offering independent credit opinions.
Prepare detailed annual reviews and manage renewals for bilateral facilities.
Process waiver and amendment requests, providing independent recommendations to the management.
Support credit portfolio monitoring through news monitoring and periodic reviews
Participate in regional credit committee meetings, ensuring relevant and significant questions are raised and addressed during the deliberation of new credit applications.
Engage in credit or other risk-related projects as they arise and be prepared to take on new responsibilities
skills & experiences required.
Bachelor degree or above in a relevant discipline
At least 3 years of experience in corporate credit analysis or credit risk with a focus on China corporates in a corporate banking environment
A understanding on china corporate lending market
Strong credit analysis and writing skills
Good presentation and communication skills; be able to collaborate closely with the front office and present in the credit committee
Excellent command of English and Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese)
Qualifications such as HKMA ECF - Credit Risk Management or Certified Credit Risk Management Professional is an advantage
Demonstrate a proactive attitude with strong willingness to learn; a team player
Prior experience in other risk area - such as operational risk, climate risk, market risk would be a plus
